I have a kilt, and bagpipes, both in my family tartan. I was a piper when I went to military college, and they even let me wear my family tartan as my dress uniform, rather than the college's default Fraser tartan.

Not only is it incredibly comfortable, but it's also one of the best ice-breakers at a party/event if you're a single guy.
