I was up at our place in Hubbarton helping my mom out with the house last year when what they called
"microbursts" sort of tornado like wind events created some real havoc on Bomoseen, and it continued up to Beebe and Burr Pond..
Also year or so before that there was a microburst/tornado at Copake.. you can see the path of the funnel as it cut across the Taconic Parkway
