Yeah, on the acft they pull all the stuff of any military value. I'd like to know where acft that are still used in the US military's inventory are coming from. They don't sell them when they are done. They send them to DM AFB and mothball them.
The helicopters are kind of scary compared to say an F-4. You can't do much from an F-4 except fly it into something. In a helo though you could hover over a target and fire an M-60 or hand-held rockets and with the bullet proof under panels on the acft being sold here you'd be at a slight advantage. Even if you know you'd eventually be taken out, you'd be able to stay up longer and complete more of your objective.
Very expensive toys though. Do you know how much it would cost to keep an acft like an F-4 going? There are literally hundreds of parts on modern war acft that cost $80K-$100K+ and they break often. Then there's all the specialized tools and finding someone that can work on the acft.
A P-51 Mustang is something I could handle though!
