Yes, semi-auto only... Sucks huh.
There is a receiver right now at the BATFE tech branch and hopefully the submitted denial pin configuration wins approval. The real challenge wit the Gory is apparently designing and fitting a fire control group in the receiver with such limited space. The gun was originally designed to fire full auto from an open bolt. We poor civilian pukes have to convert it to a semi-auto closed bolt operation which is more complicated.
It will still be quite a conversation piece though!
The other funny thing is that I can't own a lot of my firearms here in CA because of the assault weapons laws. However, this monster is perfectly legal as it is not shoulder fired and doesn't meet the legal definition of a "rifle" needed to be identified as a AW. I am screwed for the time being on belts though... I have to have someone cut up some perfectly good belts into 10 round lengths until we move out of state.
