He is obviously a quant "quantitative analyst", Wall Street speak for a guy who analyzes market behavior mathematically. With all the bot trading going on these days, many of these guys are making obscene amounts of money. WS salaries are already ridiculous - a good quant has a lot of competition for his services.
There is nothing like all that positive reinforcement to create a Pesto-like personality.
