True, still not wise to lie on a federal medical form. Since I didn't lie, I had to jump through extra hoops with the FAA. It was a bit of an up hill battle, but I stuck with it and I have my class III. The AME I knew what I was up against and cut me some slack for a minor thing.
I had the option of withdrawing the medical so I could apply for the LSA, but for me, it was all or nothing.
