It was mentioned in the court room (I was sitting in there watching with much interest) the last time he was found guilty. Ties to that particular crime family are also mentioned in some of his prison records, which I have copies of thanks to a former cop turned private investigator whom I hired in 2009. The part I don't know is whether ties to the Bonnano family that appear in his court records and also in his prison records are mentioned because of his own boastful claims, or if the police came to that conclusion based on their investigations. What is troubling to me, is that he was tried and convicted on multiple charges of fraud, perjury, obstruction of justice, and a few others, and yet he served only a paltry few months in prison before being released. Why such a very short sentence for all these felony crimes?
"Connected" defense attorney maybe? I don't know.
