So I bought some giant pumpkin seeds to grow with the kid. We've got sprouts, and now I'm contemplating my options for where to plant them.

I know they need lots of sun, water and space

Will they do ok on a steep hillside?

I would like to grow a couple really big ones. It sounds like the you do this by removing all the other fruit, and have a single pumpkin on the vine.

Any thoughts about preventing rot, pests I might have to deal with?

Any advice appreciated.
