Yep, welcome and thumbs up for getting on it.
You need a second person pulling the lever and at the same time try to 'move and press' the lid to the passenger side and then pull. That worked for me when mine got stuck.
Now I have attached a ziptie on the opening lever at the lock in case the wire should snip one day.
I bought my 930 last year from AZ and it's pretty rust free so yours has a good chance to be the same way.
BTW: Is the car a 'he' now that you're a girl?
