imho chip mods are a mistake with that setup. The DSG has limits. I had the GTI w/DSG and found it to be a hoot at the track. In fact the auto in sport mode was damn near perfect - actually a bit better than me using the paddles.
I have a new TDI w/DSG. No paddles but I don't drive the diesel like that. It will jump from a stoplight if need be though.
