centrifugal skid. The GT3 went off completely sideways. The driver's side front tire maintained contact with the roadway, as did the driver's side rear tire. The passenger side front tire lost all contact with the roadway.
And yes, he was trying to make that exit ramp. The guy in lane #1, whom he was racing with, locked up his non-abs equipped car in an attempt to also make the exit ramp. The lane #1 guy got a little sideways but didn't completely lose it.
I'm guessing that the guy in lane #1 saw the explosion.
