it was leaking that bad without even running? with the oil hot it will be worse. the good news is common leaks at that part of engine are cheap parts (oil cooler seals, oil pressure switch, oil breather gasket/hose, and thermostat). the bad news is most of them are almost impossible to do without dropping the engine.
