hey guys - i just wanted to thank Graham, of course, for putting together such a smooth running event, which really did focus on the driving, lot's of amazing roads, i could have done one more day!!! Graham, you have the perfect demeanor for this type of event! thanks for charting a steady course!

i did 1,049 miles, round trip to and from seattle - sorry that i bailed out near concolly, but i started to get nervous about my arrive at home time (i got home by 5pm) - what time did you guys split up west of the US 20 pass?

thanks to everyone with the gracious 356 remarks and questions - sorry for neurotically keeping the 356 running, but the starter/push start problem had me really freaked out so far from home!

i had many questions about what this 356 is, including mechanicals - to try to briefly answer: it's a '62 356B T-6 notchback coupe, essentially a 356B cabriolet body, with a factory hardtop welded on - Porsche made about 697 (2nd rarest 356 body style variant, behind '62 twin grill roadster), and this model has not been well received by the auto press and 356 enthusiasts - i find the younger the Porsche fan, the more they like the notchback!

i had quite a time keeping up with you guys, but with the newly built engine ('62 S-90 case and heads (large intake, sodium exhaust, titanium retainers), 1720 cc 9.3:1 Shasta pistons, Neutek SX-1 cam, Porsche lightened crank, lightened flywheel, Weber 40 IDF's, aluminum oil cooler, NLA sport exhaust - 7,000 redline) it was much easier than two years ago!

the brakes are stock aluminum finned drums, vent drilled backs, front cooling hoses, and the suspension is built to SOVREN specs with decambered front spindles, 19mm weltmeister front sway bar, koni's, and a rear Skirmants sport bar (to keep the rear wheels from retracting!) again, a bunch of work to keep you guys in view!

i'm really looking forwards to next year's event, and i hope to have my 914 2.0 ready to go, with a fresh engine rebuild

i hope to see you guys soon - thanks again for such a great time - cheers, brad k in seattle
