admittedly, i am nervous around pits. i had a pair kill my gf's basset hound puppy in front of me. i was kicking them in the nuts, and not even fazing them.

two weeks ago, my coworker's golden was taken to the vet for neck stitches when a pit latched on. my coworker's adrenalin was flowing, because he said he opened the pit's jaws with his bare hands. scary as hell.

but i have met some very sweet gentle pits. my local shelter is full of them. pits and chihuahaus are 90% of the population.
