OK, the sprockets project went fine, although I did find it a bit of a pain in the neck to advance the cam chain enough to catch the notch in the camshaft, and be certain I had the pin aligned with the notch in the cam.When I did the second side, I noted the alignment of the plane of the cam chain to a fixed point in the head before I removed the old one, and when I got the new one in place, I was confident I had it right. I popped of the cover on the first side I did (LEFT) to make certain I had that one in the same plane, and I did. And it didn't grenade when I fired it up, so evidently I got it right. But I was second guessing for sure. I wished for a better way.

I think if I had to to do over, I would:

Index the plane of the chain to a fixed point in the head for reference;

Loosen the sprocket bolt with the tensioner in place, standing on the rear brake with the bike in gear;

Remove the tensioner;

Mark the chain for alignment with the arrow (either on a link or between) with nail polish on a brake-cleaner'ed link or two;

Remove the sprocket bolt and spacer;

Remove the old sprocket from the chain;

Install the new sprocket onto the chain, indexing the correct arrow to the nail polish on the chain;

Install the bolt and spacer just till it touches the sprocket (Not inset in the groove yet);

Install the tensioner, 3/4 in;

Rotate the rear wheel while wiggling/pressing on the sprocket to get it to seat in the slot in the end of the camshaft;

Snug the sprocket bolt and spacer;

Tighten the tensioner;

Torque the sprocket bolt.

I had a minor self-inflicted thrash with fuel supply (other thread), but once that was sorted, I did get it out for about a 15 mile shake down.

Bear in mind that I have never ridden one of these before about an hour ago so I have no frame of reference, but it pulled hard and ran great, and I got ZERO surging at any RPM. It ran great, for as long as it ran.

Lennie, by way of feedback, it would be great if you would include your own 'blessed'
installation instructions with the sprockets. As it was I went hunting for threads here and on ADV, read them and forged ahead. There ought to be something 'from the horse's mouth' as it were, included with the sprockets, and available on your site. That's free advice, take it for what it's worth.
