We just got the top of the line Dyson canister vac. I don't think I'd have paid $600, but we got it on clearance at Sears for $300 so it was a smokin' deal. It REALLY sucks. But when you're talking vacuums, that's good. Still, I think some of the Miele features would have been nice to have. But, it's hard to argue a REALLY good Dyson for $300 vs a great Miele for $1000. I suppose at least it's not a $1900 Kirby.

I'm on my second Dyson too. When I got the first one it was the only bagless vacuum on the market. It worked great until someone tried to use it to clean up drywall dust. The second one is five years old and still works great. I tried one of the balls and they do handle easier. The hand motion needed to turn it is smooth and natural. I'm not rushing out to buy one though.
