Great thread. I have really enjoyed everyone's pics! Here is Scooter our second Shih Tzu and a rescue that we took in 2 years ago at 4 1/2 years old. His owner was having money and marriage probs and had moved into an apt that did not allow pets. Scooter had to go. He had not been groomed for some time and was extremely malnourished at 7 lbs. Here is is the day we brought him home. His hairstyle reminds me of Rod Stewart.
Took Scooter to the Vet for a checkup and all his shots then off to the Groomer to see what could be done with all the matted hair. Solution was that it all had to come off and we had to start over. He looks pretty pathetic here.
Here he is two years later very healthy at 11 lbs. Hard to believe it's the same dog.
He is now a very well adjusted, sweet, loving member of our family. Wife captured this photo on her iPhone yesterday of Scooter mesmerized with a squirrel on the bird feeder. Thanks for allowing me to share Scooter's story!
