I was sitting here staring intently into the screen totally absorbed in a thread with vicarious thoughts streaming through my head as to what it would be like and so forth....

when I heard one of the most ominous sounds ever to emanate from my micro cosmos. Had the Grim Reaper arrived? Was this his entry chime? What else could be such a huge tonal event?

Every fluid and strength dropped from my head into the chair cushion....time froze along with my ability to react or think. I was ready to see the other side as I sat helpless to any movement or reaction. I knew I was white in the face because it felt unattached and floating somewhere between me and the glow of the screen.

What on earth had happened internally or externally to create such a massive resound so close that it seemed to come from within and from around simultaneously?






A stray cat wandered in an open door inches behind me, jumped up and landed on the bottom 3 keys of the piano holding the note just as surprised as me. Our eyes met and I saw the serpent of evil staring back in yellow with black slits.

Coldest yellow possible in nature. I could only then turn in my chair, but not yet stand.
