Mike, get the brush on stuff. I paid about $8the for the last quart I bought. I usually buy it by the gallon. I don't know how many of these guy have done carpet kits or complete interiors but im doing a complete interior right now and my background is with Mercedes sl restoration. 3m is for heaheadliner. Not vinyl but cloth where the glue soaks in. Vinyl you will want to use a contact cement that brushes on and has some working time but when you are ready for it to stick it wont come off unless you really want it to. The stuff that 3mI makes in the tube is far better than the spray.
