Haven't seen a train wreck, but I saw a chain reaction car accident in the rear-view mirror.
After a snowstorm in NY, I was on I-890 headng to work. The fast lane still had unplowed snow. The middle and right lanes had some light cover, so cars were going slowly. I looked in the rearview to see an econobox trying to pass the traffic in the snowy left lane. He went into the guardrail, spun and then was thrown back across the freeway. It caused a 30+ car pile up. If he had been any farther forward, it would have been my car he would have hit.
