I know the person responsible for bringing this overhead sign down. They were working in a lane , and were pushing the envelope, as there are stiff fines if lanes arent cleared by certain times...
The workers took it to the last minute, got in the truck and tried to drive off the bridge..
They forgot to lower and store the boom on the truck
So not only did the contractor get fined for not clearing the lane, they got to buy TBTA new sign structure... plus an OSHA visit
