i have been busy with lots of small jobs and a couple of larger tasks. i finished inspecting, rebooting, and of course regreasing the joints and reinstalled on the axles. replaced the attaching bolts with the stage 8 locking bolt kit and reinstalled in the car. i got the radiator hoses run to the front. i put oil in the motor yesterday and just bumped the starter and the motor turned over a couple of times...making progress! since the mast motorsports uses a seperate wiring harness to and from the ecu there were several wiring things to deal with. and the livorsi gauges required major wiring behind the gauges to hook into the proper systems. the gauges are red backlighted and the digital readout portion of the gauges makes for an interesting dash. fans are working, electric water pump, and the fuel pump as well. i removed the original heater and air controls and radio and installed a rennline lower dash piece. this contributes to the overall very spartan interior. any ideas on something to place over the rennline emblem that says porsche...maybe custom made. i also ordered a leather redye kit for my somewhat faded fitti e3 steering wheel...that might be a good july fourth project. i most likely will put a dash cap on to eleminate the air vent on the dash...if they are available. i am working steadily but it does take some time and especially if you are picky!!
