A series Land Rover can cruise at 60 on the flat, but up any grade the stock 4 cyl is awfully weak, even the stock 6-cyl is. Of course an engine swap cures that. They are great off-road, though I doubt they will plug through deep mud and water like a Unimog. I'd like another series truck sometime - but with prices what they are, might as well take a Range Rover, strip out the luxury bits, enjoy coil springs, V8 power, and a/c . . .
