this surpasses the irony of the firefighter who didn't want to wear his protective headgear on the job. his argument was that hair was naturally flame retardant. to demonstrate, he lit his hair on fire, in court, neglecting that he had doused his hair with hair spray. a lot of hairspray. it wasn't fatal.
