I don't wear a helmet when riding around the neighborhood, but that's once every few mos. when getting the oil warmed up for a change or buying ice at the corner gas station. I'm not getting dressed up for going a mile or two roundtrip. But once I know I'm crossing the red light about 1/2 mile from my house, I wear full gear no matter the weather (which is going to really suck today).
