From Lee's handle and the fact that the car is RHD I'm guessing that he's in the UK and that the 13k he refers to isn't dollars, it's pounds. £13k is a bit less than $20k, by my (somewhat drunken post-Thanksgiving party) reckoning, which is definitely 964 territory, although at the low end of the scale (for the US, anyway, I'm guessing that they're a bit more expensive in the UK, everything *else* is). However, cabs are *normally* more expensive, so make of that what you will. Make sure you get a PPI from a good independent garage. I'd advise cross-posting this on the Rennlist 964 forum, as Pelican seems to be (a) very US-oriented and (b) very non-late model oriented, and the 964 forum here doesn't seem to get much traffic.

I would advise to get the newest decent car you can afford - i.e. a decent 964 over a mint 89 or earlier, but a decent pre-964 over a beater 964, otherwise you run a very good chance of ending up with a money pit.

Hope this helps!
