Thanks for getting back to me Red.
1) Yes, I did take it apart to replace the seal.
2) I took pictures and was dilligent putting it back together exactaly the way I took it apart.
3) I have removed it already.
4) The lining up the shift rods is very usefull info, I wondered if it really was in neutral.
