Threads -British movie about nuclear war and it's aftereffects, a truly disturbing film. Makes "The Day After" look like a disney film
The Great Escape -still one of my favorites of all time, entertaining from start to end, and stars Steve McQueen (show respect to the man, you fools)
Johnny Got His Gun -a very disturbing film. In my opinion, this should be required viewing for those studying war and why war is pointless.
Apocalypse Now -Visually amazing movie, Ride of the Valkryes and helicopters, enough said
Paths Of Glory -One of Stanley Kubrick's first films.
Platoon -I heard this was a true story based on Oliver Stone's experiences in action.
The Dirty Dozen -totally unrealistic, but you get Lee Marvin, Jim Brown, Charles Bronson and John Cassevetes all kicking Nazi ass in the same movie.
Das Boot -Awesome movie. Much better subtitled then dubbed. Shows you how much these guys went through.
Dr. Strangelove "Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room!"
The Green Berets -Ok Im going to get flak for this, but I see this as a hysterical comedy. John Wayne, kicking ass in Vietnam, cmon!
