You could return to Sears and then small-claims them for the restocking fee and shipping.
Judge would probably frown at their behaviour.
Go all the way to the top of the store, first, for everyones sake.
If there is no warentee to nulify by cracking it open, then the pump should have juice going to it during the cycle. Be careful with 220V.
No juice present=bad board/timer/other.
Juice present and no movement=bad pump.
