The same might work with an air duster or dry ice on the stud. The idea being to quickly cool it to break the corrosion bond. Coke(diet?) is supposed to be acidic enough to eat through rust and mineral deposits.

When it gets down to flush, I haven't had much success with the reverse drill/easyouts. The square ones driven in seem to have more bite.

Maybe try PB Blaster instead of WD-40. PB Blaster seems to resist ignition from heat a little better.
