I have an '87 Carrera and have not changed my oil since I got it 3000 miles ago in late July. It was serviced just before I bought it. It burns a little oil and there is a slight leak on the lower left cam cover. I have to add a quart every 1000 miles, which concerns me. But I don't know how much of it is leaking out, as it only leaks when I'm driving, and only then onto the heat exchanger, which burns it off. Since I've already added 3 qts., I figure the oil in there stays relatively fresh. Though I look forward to changing it after a few thousand more miles. I usually don't drive it during the week. But I drive it hard and far on the weekends.
