no crate experience here, but in the summer months my lab prefers the cool tile of the bathroom or wood floors to his dog beds. also, when she hurls is it like egg white watery after drinking or is it after a meal? my lab experience is that they, at least mine often throw up in the summer after drinking too much, too fast water. if she's doing after meal id say something's amiss, just water and bile no worries.
the crate prolly holds in heat around her even at night and she aint comfy that way
