I have owned a P3-AT since before the LCP was out. It is Perfect for all of the time defensive carry. I expect the LCP will be about the same.
As far as ammo is concerned, I stopped using expanding hollowpoint for .380ACP and have gone to FMJ. If I could find a commercial SWC, I would purchase it. Penetration is not very good with expanding hollowpoints, below 9mm.
