After having it and enjoying it for about 10 years and doing everything I wanted to with it...it was time for a change. It can always be put back the way it was - if I want. But I will never sell it and it is mine so for the purists...look away.

It is a toy that I like to tinker with etc...I don't think it will ever be done, if it was I would get bored and opt for another project car.

The only thing in the interior are seats and a steering wheel - everything is gone. It is minimal to say the least. With that being said I have an RS carpet kit in beige sliverknit that is going in, RS door panels (those are installed) and Recaro SPG's. I kept the power windows (not much to gain with the loss there, once you convert to manual) The only heat I have is what can be forced via the engine fan (all blowers gone) I plan to use mesh screens in the footwells and manually control the heat with the levers (got rid of the auto).

There are alot of things and details on the car that took awhile to complete that most folks don't, won't notice.

I can post some pics of the roll bar once it is done.

It is good to have back on 4 wheels and am inching toward driveable. Once I set the roll bar I will have the harnesses and then will install the seats etc so I can drive it while I "finish it" The plan is to finish the outside then work on the inside.

In the fall the engine comes out and tranny to finish the project - so again it is never done so to speak.
Too cool...do you plan on having any defrost functionality? I currently have my fresh air blower out just doing a wiper swap and stuff, so much air comes in driving it as-is it almost seems one could do some sort of really simple ducting straight from the fresh air intake to the vents and get decent performance for a non-DD/track car/whatever. I really haven't looked at it closely enough to see if I'd be able to include the dash vents as well or what (and quite frankly I'm still a little overwhelmed by all of the ducting in the HVAC system currently), but I'm anxious to dig in because the vast majority is certainly coming out.
