The dysfunction in this post is inherent. Next time you get the letter, write deceased across the address and place back in the mail. It will go back to the court and they will remove her name from the rolls. Or phone the Clerk of Court yourself. Otherwise, you can continue to waste your money (as a taxpayer) getting the notices and chucking them.
So what? It's only $.44 (or whatever a stamp costs)...
Worst case scenario....eventually, the rolls get so out of date someone thinks it's a great idea to build an elaborate system to cross reference every local directory....DMV, death notices, voter records, etc. etc. Think that's cheap?
