The dysfunction in this post is inherent. Next time you get the letter, write deceased across the address and place back in the mail. It will go back to the court and they will remove her name from the rolls. Or phone the Clerk of Court yourself. Otherwise, you can continue to waste your money (as a taxpayer) getting the notices and chucking them.

Ummmmm
BITE ME!!!!!
Granny died in the county she lived in, her death was recorded by the coroner of the county she lived and died in...
The dysfunction is that that people in one office on one floor of "city hall" have no idea, or inclination to share data with someone in another office on another floor.... or perhaps the office right next door...
Her death was recorded by the county coroner,
Where I live these records are all generated, recorded, archived in the same building..
That is dysfunction...
How does a deceased person remain in the jury pool for almost 15 years? no voting record in the last 15 years, she hasn't renewed her drivers license in the last 15 years... not made a bill payment, the pension from Con Ed stopped at her passing... a will was executed by the state...
She has not replied to a jury summons!!! and this is going on for years...
There was even a 3/4 page obit in the local paper,
The only people who try to get in touch with my granny is the courts....
The Feds, the State, the County, the Town, know she is gone...
Maybe the courts will catch on before I start pushing up daisies
