It's also claimed that accuracy of the shorter round suffers in the longer chamber, due to excessive bullet jump throught that extra 1/8" that the longer case would occupy. I've never seen it. That said, I load .38 Special level loads in .357 brass just to avoid those chambering issues. I continue to load .44 Special in .44 Special brass, but only because I have revolvers chambered for that shorter round.
