Hello,
I supported one side of the alum. part with a deep socket that would allow the pin to pass into it and from the other side a socket on the other side that was smaller than the pin,and sandwhiched the whole thing in a vice.By slowly clamping down,you have complete control,and it just about jumps put of there,and no heat is required Good luck
