When I went down on the 405, it took awhile for them to stop traffic (to move the dead coyote carcass) before we could hobble from the center divide to the ambulance that was on the right shoulder (and since it was midnight, no one could see us). When we walked up their eyes got big and they smiled a bit. Looked at us and said, "we were about to go out looking for pieces." The gallows humor went on from there.
Be careful out there...
