Thanks Steve F and Green 912, I took the parts and pieces to my trailer builder friend who's milling me a new piece from a 2 by 2 inch of solid steel. Yes it will be heavy but the new part should outlast us all. Parts-house wanted 60 for rebuilt one and 40 core charge. I'll pay 100 for a piece that's bomb proof. Wish I was smart enough to think of the socket method. Heat was not the answer. Thanks again . DG
