These are great cars

Many people have said this before but when you read these forums you can't help but get an overwhelming sense that these cars are just problem after problem --- mainly because people only come post on the forums when they have one. I've posted a handful of questions myself already and I'm sure I will have many more, but I still couldn't be happier with my recently purchased '02 S.

Just took a 1,400 mile road trip down the 101 with no problems. When I got the car, it needed some love (new water pump, new drive belt, new AOS, new spark plugs & spark plug tubes, new ignition switch, the wiper arms were on reversed) and had 95k miles on it. I don't have much experience working on cars and part of my decision to get one of these was to get into more DIY repairs (so far I've done it all myself).

Anyway, if you're reading these forums trying to decide whether or not to go with a Boxster, I say do it. My grandfather owned a 356 that he brought back from Germany during the 50's and it's always been my goal to own a Posrche before I turned 30. I wasn't sure I'd be able to pull it off, but these cars are really pretty affordable to pick up. I should also throw out there that my Boxster has no CEL on right now with all monitors ready... more than I can say for my 2000 Toyota Tacoma that needs a new O2 sensor, a new TPS sensor and possibly new cats. Not that it's a fair comparison since the truck has 150k miles on it, but still...
