I just got back. We tried to stay longer in the Porsche museum, but an hour max is really about it. I had more fun looking into the workshop through the glass than touring the museum.
The Mercedes museum is really good and much better than the Porsche one.
We also did Autostadt for the VW brands, and it was pretty good as well for the oldtimer museum portion.
Also did the Prototype museum up in Hamburg. Worth a look if you're in town or if they have a special exhibition. Very snotty people at this place. They Really didn't want my kids going into it, they are 13 and 17 yo boys. The 17 yo already has his own 912 that he's doing body work on, and the 13 yo has a ton of respect for the cars and knows all too well what to touch (nothing...). I won't be going back to this one....
