Right on!! I got my 2000 'S' last Nov with 53k miles and darn if there wasn't but a few things to fix and haven't been any since. I did buy it though because I want a Porsche and because I wanted a toy to spend each winter night working on...thus I spent hundreds (maybe thousands) fixing it up with the goal to make it like new. Replacing things that didn't need it and either selling the old parts or just storing them.
It really is a fun car. It isn't perfect and it amazes me that back in Dec of 1999 someone paid over $54k for the car...though if you think about it if it is this much fun to drive now think about how far ahead of the rest it was at the time!
I'll be in my first concours on the 20th and really looking forward to it. Also to all those looking for a great community, look no further, Boxster owners are the best. A few weeks ago I took a 440mile trip through the blue ridge and my girl friend was so thrilled that each of the 4 other Boxsters we passed all flashed their lights and waved. The two 911 guys never even noticed us lol!
