never thought about the location of that temp switch. The fact that the cooling fan switch is located at the bottom of the radiator where the coolant is the coolest and the gauge temp sensor is on the block may explain why the cooling fan comes on at different spots on the temp gauge....hmmmmmm....the temp fan came on only one time so far in my diagnosis. It was after I shut it down as it was approaching an overheat. It sat for a minute and when I went to start the engine again, the fan came on as I turned the key.

Anyway, based on your explanation, I think I will go with the 75C to try it out. Maybe I have the 92C.

Regardless, I totally agree that I have to hunt down the root of the problem here, but for now I just need to buy myself a little time.
