1986 944 timing belt broke and so did my dream
Well guys my car isn't perfect. The dash cracked, leaks water in the rain and the seat has begun to rip.
Still she is my baby and from one moment to the next she stopped because of a timing belt break.
Boo hoo what to do. I had a mechanic install a new belt and test for compression and we came up a BIG ZERO compression in all four cylinders.
How much damage could have occurred? Worst case / Best case please!
What are the steps to getting these things out and to a machine shop?
Have any of you decided to keep a 944 after a timing belt break? What did you do? Spend?
I know you Porsche lovers are out there and I am an need of a little advice my friends : )
