Most likely it's the boost spring for the clutch pedal. It sits in a plastic bucket and helps you push the clutch in. The bucket can get dry and creak (thats creak not crack ;P). The pedal bushings can also get dry, but I find lubing the spring is the fix. Get yourself some silicone spray with a straw nozzle and lie on your back down by your pedals. With safety glasses and a good light you can see what's going on- contort your arm around and push the pedal in, the bucket will pivot around and you will see the spring in action.
With the straw shoot some silicone at the spring, the spring guide, the bucket pivots, and the pedal bushings for good measure. Work the pedal 10 or so times and notice if the noise changed or is quiet. If it's fixed, great...if it's better work the pedal more times or spray a little more silicone, just don't hose the shaft going into the master cylinder, that dustboot is supposed to be dry.
