More updates...slow and steady. I replaced the hood liner the other day. I used an old shower curtain to lay over the engine. Took a 6" putty knife and two minutes. Installed a new one from Classic9. I was a little surprised the nice logo was a DIY job of vinyl like you do on the outside of cars. It took some careful plotting and a lot of drying. After several failed attempts to get the backing off without taking the silver logo right off the liner I broke out the wife's hairdryer. Coupled with a squeegee and the heat, it did the trick. Came out real nice, I think.

I then moved on to the broken sunroof. I was dreading this. It was loose, supported with non-Porsche approved wood and decking screws, and a lot of tape. After removing said infrastructure I had a hole in the roof and I could not get the motor or anything to make noises. I tried to find pictures on the internet to no avail. So, I did what I do best - started taking it apart. I found 30 year old grease that had petrified in the channels and tracks. About a half of can of WD-40 and a lot of wiping I got them clear.

You can imagine the exitement I felt when the little blocks started moving up and down the tracks under power. I moved the blocks, sprayed with WD-40, wiped clean, repeat. I did this probably 20 times. I followed up with assembling a 3D puzzle without a clue. About 10:00 last night I solved the riddle! It works! I need a new gasket so I left the inside sunroof cover off as I will have to remove the panel again to replace it.
