I looked in my factory slantnose database and most of the 87's I have are J's.
I own 2 factory slantnose coupe's and they start are J's for the 4th digit too.
You can call Porsche in Altanta to confirm but from the COA it looks to be legitimate.
I have some 88's and 89's with J's too on the database.
