I remember reading a short piece on motorcycles in china a year or so ago.
as rick says, m/cs are banned in many cities, or restricted to small displacement engines or electric motors.
all forms of motorized transport (cars and m/c) are on the rise in china, but most of the m/c growth is apparently in the electric m/c market.
I think m/cs are viewed generally as basic transport for people that can't quite yet afford a car.
it doesn't seem there is going to be a large market for a large displacement, gas engine, expensive, imported motorcyle in china any time soon, if ever.
stock prices rise based on company growth. I really don't see HD as a growth company, either in the US (their customer base is getting old) or abroad.
