Good afternoon guys. I was looking around in my photo collection from long ago and found this photo of me driving my 914.

There is no PhotoShop in that! That is a scan of the original transparency, 100% reality. That is from about 1979 or 1980. The original rear springs on the 914 were getting weak but the Bilstein shocks were still quite stiff. There was a small dip in the road there and as the rear end hit the dip gravity would compress the suspension but the shocks would not allow them to return fast enough. I got a buddy of mine to sit in the front yard of a house and I made several passes. This was the best shot. I installed new springs after I got the photo and the same dip would not get me airborne anymore.

I have had a 16x20 print of that on my office wall for 30 years.

For the photography geeks. That was shot with a Topcon camera that I still own. I scanned it here at work at 4,000 DPI because I will likely make a new print of it. I left the frame information on there just to show it was not a digital photo. I personally processed that film.
